Electron Beam Welder (EBW3 Welder)

Tender description

UKAEA wishes to engage with potential prime contractors, SMEs and electron beam welder manufacturers for the procurement and supply of an Electron-Beam Welder (EBW3 Welder) for the UKAEA. The EBW3 welder will be housed at UKAEA’s premises in Culham, Oxfordshire, UK. It is intended to replace an existing machine, to meet internal and external customer requirements, especially for weld qualification work. The EB welder shall be installed and ready for use by UKAEA by the 1st October 2023 at the latest. Through this process we are looking to open up engagement with suppliers to ensure there is sufficient production capability and capacity to meet project timelines and requirements. After the engagement exercise, UKAEA intend to issue an Invitation to Tender.
