Tender description

National Highways has its own dedicated National Roads Telecommunications Service known as NRTS2. The service is strategically and operationally critical to National Highways as it provides the telecommunications service that connects our 30,000 roadside devices (such as message signs and cameras) to our Regional Operating Centres enabling us to operate, maintain and improve our Strategic Road Network safely and efficiently. The existing NRTS2 contract expires in March 2025. The contract contains an option for National Highways to extend the contract for two years. National Highways needs to make a decision as to whether the future needs of the business are best met through invoking the two year option to extend the existing NRTS2 contract or approach the market to procure a new NRTS3 contract.
