Tender description

The Marine Institute, a semi State body, wishes to invite tenders for the supply of baited remote underwater video systems for a duration of 4 years from Feb/March 2022. At present a requirement exists for supply of BRUVs for research on distribution and habitat use of elasmobranch fish in 1 Lot. BRUVs will be deployed in inshore (5-60m) waters off the south west coast of Ireland on sedimentary and reef or edge of reef habitats. They will be deployed and recovered from small scale commercial fishing vessels to monitor distribution of elasmobranch fishes in particular. The BRUVs will also be used to look at behavior of spiny lobster and other species around baited traps within the field of view of the BRUVs. This is an Open Invitation to Tender with any manufacturers and/or resellers invited to respond.
