Tender description
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine are seeking to award contract(s) to operate the Studbooks for the following breeds to breeders’ associations, breeding organisations or public bodies: - The Irish Sport Horse (No. of Foals entered in 2020: circa 4000) - The Irish Sport Pony (No. of Foals entered in 2020: circa 120) - The Irish Draught (No. of Foals entered in 2020: circa 800) - The Irish Cob (No. of Foals entered in 2020: circa 60) - The Irish Part-bred Cob (No. of Foals entered in circa 2020: 25). The contracts will be issued for Breed Groups: The breeds have been divided into 3 lots based on the intrinsic links between some of the breeds in question. Applicants may apply for any or all of the following lots: 1. the Irish Sport Horse and the Irish Sport Pony 2. The Irish Draught 3. The Irish Cob and the Irish Part-bred Cob.
