Single Point Design Team for Printing House

This Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) Notice acknowledges that Trinity College Dublin proposes to place a contract with Heneghan Peng Architects relating to multi-disciplinary design team services for Printing House and the possible inclusion of an interim exhibition. Depending on the feasibility of the project, a subsequent design and construction phase may be required to complete the project whereby technical design services will be required. Given the strict security requirements and specialist technical knowledge required to house and protect artefacts held by the University, it is deemed that Heneghan Peng Architects are best placed to be awarded the contract as they are pre-vetted from a security viewpoint and have the required technical and specialist knowledge. Lot 1: This Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) Notice acknowledges that Trinity College Dublin propose to place a contract with Heneghan Peng Architects with reference to Article 32(2)b(ii) of Directive 2014/24/EU. The contract for multi-disciplinary design team services for Printing House will ensure that Trinity College Dublin upholds the strict security requirements surrounding its artefacts, whilst also ensuring that the appointed team has the technical capability to deliver the required services. The required services are for multi-disciplinary design team services for Stages (i) to (v) of the Capital Works Management Framework. The conduct of a recognised public procurement procedure is not possible for this contract given the strict security requirements which surround the artefacts which may form part of the project. To advertise such would put the university and artefact at undue risk. It is also noted that Heneghan Peng possess the required technical knowledge and have are pre-vetted by the university to undertake such work.
