RFI - Anechoic Chamber Capabilities in the UK

Dstl's Counter Terrorism and Security (CTS) Division (hereinafter referred to as the Authority), is investigating the availability of Anechoic Chambers within the United Kingdom which are critical to multiple capabilities in CTS. The chambers themselves are critical to ensuring our staff can operate in a safe and secure way by; 1) ensuring operational equipment can be tested without impedance from outside signals; 2) protecting the outside world from interference caused by our equipment 3) ensuring that Dstl conduct research and operations in a manner compliant with UK legislation (Investigatory Powers Act 2016, Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006). The Authority is issuing this Request for Information to understand the capacity and capabilities of existing Anechoic Chambers within the United Kingdom, across both Industry and Academia. Further details are provided in the RFI Notice as published on Contracts Finder. NOTE: 1) A similar RFI was previous issued late in 2021 which had a limited response. This is an updated RFI. Companies who responded to the original RFI on this subject are not required to submit a new response. 2) We are not seeking suppliers/manufacturers of Anechoic Chambers, we are looking for economic operators who already have pre-existing Anechoic Chamber capability (and potential spare capacity) in the UK.
