Residential Solar PV - Soft Market Test

Since declaring Climate Emergency in 2019, Hackney Council has rapidly progressed their work on increasing local energy generation. Council owned a large social housing portfolio, with the vast majority of large, clean roof spaces. The Council is looking to engage with the market to work on the optimal option to cover the roof spaces with solar panels and at scale increase the local generation, by utilising Council assets, and significantly reduce carbon emissions in the borough. Hackney Council is looking to meet with the interested parties to talk about potential opportunities for solar panels installation across the social housing stock, in preparation for deliverable strategy and programmes of work. Potential providers are invited to express an interest via the London Tenders Portal. Data from a recent feasibility study is provided for information and to inform discussions. Please note this is a soft market test and not a call for competition. If the Council seeks to procure a contract a further notice will be placed at a later date.
