Tender description

NWL CCG requires community Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) musculoskeletal (MSK) care services with clear clinical oversight across all specialities including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care planning for adults and young adults (16+) with various MSK conditions, that do not require input from the hospital MSK services. The requirement is to deliver an accessible and efficient service, managing the majority of outpatient activity within primary and community care settings. Support for MSK conditions include (but is not limited to): - All arthralgia, myalgia - Spinal pain - Mechanical arthritis - Chronic regional or widespread MSK pain - MSK related soft tissue lesions - Metabolic bone disorders - Peripheral nerve entrapments - Sports injuries - Arthritic and inflammatory conditions, including, but not limited to, mechanical arthritis; inflammatory arthritis and polymyalgia rheumatica. In Central London (Westminster) a Community MSK service is required. In Hillingdon a Chronic Pain service is required. In Harrow, a community MSK Spinal Triage service is required and a community physiotherapy service to deliver a clinic service for patients in the form of appointments and accept referrals directly from GP practices. The provider must ensure Patient Care Pathways are in place for various conditions requiring physiotherapy and all treatments on offer must be NICE-approved. In West London (Kensington & Chelsea), the service specialties include community MSK physical therapy services and podiatry services; outpatient orthopaedic and rheumatology services; and chronic MSK pain management services. The CCG has contracts in place and are looking to extend the services below to 31 March 2023 whilst reviewing the future composition of the service across NWL to consider how it needs to: improve the delivery of the services; improve efficiency through an integrated NWL-wide delivery model; and develop a standardised and harmonised approach. The services are currently provided by: Healthshare Ltd - Central London (Westminster) (annual value: £2,800,000.00), Hillingdon (annual value: £314,050.00) and West London (Kensington & Chelsea) (annual value: £2,850,000.00); and PhysioLink Clinics Ltd - Harrow (annual value: £270,000.00). NWL CCG is considering options for making future arrangements for these services which may involve tendering. Any capable provider may come forward by 3 March 2022 to engage with the CCG. During 2022, it is anticipated that NWL CCG will be succeeded by an Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any future contract and/or procurement opportunity may therefore be in the name of the ICB.
