LDR1B Ground Investigation, Navan, Co. Meath

Tender description

The proposed works are a detailed Ground Investigation Scheme which are required to support the design and construction activities associated with the Local Distributor Road 1B, Navan, Co. Meath. The investigation works are to extend over the entire works area and surrounding lands. The Investigation includes Slit Trenches, Trial Pits, Infiltration Pits, Boreholes, Rotary Cores, GPR Surveying, Sampling and Testing to determine the extent of services, pavement make up and ground conditions along the scheme as per locations on the drawings. The scope also includes - GPR Sub-surface utility survey - Geotechnical Soil Sampling per S1.12 - In situ tests to determine California Bearing Ratio (CBR). To be carried out along the proposed route where indicated on drawings. Per S1.15 - Laboratory Geotechnical Testing per S1.19 - Laboratory Testing for Waste Acceptance Criteria per S1.20 - Infiltration testing to be as per BRE Digest 365 and S1.15 - SPTs to be carried out as per S1.15
