Tender description

A procurement exemption is being sought to jointly commission a public health dental health survey of five year old children in Liverpool. This dental epidemiology programme is co-ordinated nationally by NHS England and Improvement but the actual fieldwork (examining a random sample of children’s teeth) in each local authority is commissioned and carried out locally. A collaborative approach to carrying out the survey work is being taken across Cheshire and Merseyside with Warrington LA acting as lead commissioner and Bridgewater NHS Trust as lead provider. A procurement exemption for this commission has been implemented by Warrington LA for a total of £80,000 and the contribution required from Liverpool is £10,000. A DAR is being completed to support the contract process within LCC.
