Tender description

Previous exemptions ( PSS PND Exemption Request ER54333) have been approved to allow for this Post Natal Depression (PND) service to be mainstreamed. A decision has been taken to merge this function with a related but separate function (PSS Parent Baby Relationships Service) commissioned by LCC Children's Department. Both functions will now be aligned, integrated and commissioned by Public Health. Both services carry client loads of vulnerable women, families and babies and in order to manage risk, service continuity is essential. Due to the impact the pandemic has had on capacity within the public health department over the last 12 months and given the specialist nature of this function a further three months extension to the PND contract is required to allow a full procurement to take place. The cost of extending both services for three months will be met from the public health grant. Children's Services will apply for an exemption to extend the service they currently commission (PSS PBRS). The intended start date for a new integrated perinatal mental health service contract is 1st July 2022.
