Tender description

The aim of this project is to support the online publication and access to archaeological reference collections and typologies. This will be achieved by the development of an online database to host and manage archaeological reference collections and typologies. This will be a multi-user, multi-organisational shared resource. The initial focus of the database development is to host a number of pottery type series that are currently being created. This will establish a national resource of interlinked type series that are underpinned by sector standards. However, the system needs to be flexible to enable its use for other archaeological material and artefact reference collections that have different attributes to those used to describe pottery type series.
