T0396 Technical service support for content specialists

Tender description

The Technical Standards Group (TSG) of National Highways is looking for additional consultancy service to support the delivery of the new Manual of Contract documents for Highways Works (MCHW) and to keep the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) up to date, which are both SES's Road Investment Strategy period 2 (RIS2) obligations. Key objectives are: A. checking the MCHW documents are compliant with the Manual for Development of Documents (MDD) B. checking the updates made to the DMRB documents are MDD compliant. C. checking completeness of the governance deliverables. D. providing project management support by coordinating resources E. improving NH capability by collecting and sharing knowledge This commission will be managed and governed by TSG based in the Safety, Engineering, Standards (SES) Directorate. Completion of this work will be observed by ORR.
