Professional transition programme for internationally-educated podiatrists recruited to work in English providers. The supplier will deliver a professional transition programme, helping internationally-trained podiatrists to acclimatise to working in the NHS, at the point in time they are starting work in the NHS, The programme will be designed by the supplier then delivered by NHS provider staff, who will be enabled to do this by using an online resource and comprehensive facilitation guide developed by the supplier. This programme well be designed from scratch with significant tailoring to the podiatry profession. The clinical subject matter expertise required means this will need developing separately from other transition programmes being proposed at the same time as this one, by different suppliers; this training could therefore not be combined with those into a single programme. Initially the course will be delivered to 139 internationally-trained podiatrists recruited during the 2022/23 financial year, although the materials will be reusable enabling providers to continue to deliver the training to any internationally-trained podiatrists recruited in subsequent financial years.
