Tender description
The WAN project area covers a range of blanket bog and heath habitat types in different states of condition/quality. Various monitoring programmes are being established to assess the impacts of the overall project in terms of ecological, hydrological and greenhouse gas (GHG) targets. These programmes use a range of environmental monitoring equipment and survey techniques over various peatland habitats in the northwest of Ireland. LIFE IP WAN require a contractor with experience in scientific assessments in a peatland context to assist the project through the provision of environmental support, including the planning and undertaking of ecological surveys, and the operation and maintenance of a network of hydrological and GHG monitoring equipment. The role will support the project team and other experts contracted to deliver hydrological and GHG monitoring actions.
