NHS Supply Chain, acting on behalf of the United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is considering the procurement of Bifurcated Needles, to be held in deep storage and distributed in the event of an outbreak of Smallpox, necessitating the instigation of a vaccination program, during which the Bifurcated Needles would be distributed by the United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA). The Supplier(s) awarded to this Contract will be required to deliver the required volume, as stated in the Tender Documents, to one UK Depot. The volume is to be supplied in 8, staggered deliveries of stock over 11 months, commencing in August 2024 with the final delivery in June 2025. It is anticipated that the volume of Bifurcated Needles required will be 40,000,000 - 80,000,000. We anticipate the Invitation to Tender will be issued in or around May 2023. Additional information: As part of its pre-tender strategy, NHS Supply Chain would also like to engage with suppliers of these products via a Request for Information (RFI).
