AHP integration training

Tender description

The supplier will deliver a professional transition programme, helping internationally-trained AHPs to acclimatise to working in the NHS, at the point in time they are starting work in the NHS, The programme will be designed by the supplier then delivered by NHS provider staff, who will be enabled to do this by using an online resource and comprehensive facilitation guide developed by the supplier. This programme will necessarily be designed and delivered separately from other staff integration programmes for which business cases have also been submitted. Those programmes will focus specifically on the professional practice of different clinical staff groups, whereas this programme will cover broader NHS ways of working applicable to all and is therefore distinct and separate. Initially the course will be delivered to 2,210 internationally-trained AHPs recruited during the 2022/23 financial year, although the materials will be reusable enabling providers to continue to deliver the training to any internationally-trained AHPs recruited in subsequent financial years.
