What is the duration of this contract? The initial contract term would be for 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years. 2. Will the developer work alongside an in-house SPS team to deliver the website? The developer will work alongside SPS' communications team to develop and maintain the website. This will be an upgrade and enhancement of the current SPS external website. The developer will also continually host the website and ensuring the website stays on-line and provide maintenance support throughout the Contract Term. 3. Do you require integration with any other services or third-party elements as part of these works? No - SPS only require the website to be developed and maintained for the Contract Term. It is essential that the Website can be viewed on all major website browsers, including their most up-to-date versions. 4. Do you require compliance with any standards as part of these development works (e.g. WCAG AA Accessibility Guidelines)? The Supplier shall provide the following:• Website availability every day of the year;• Availability 24-hours a day;• Availability is not expected to fall below 99.5% in any one month; and• Movement from page to page (and page refresh) should be no more than 4 seconds.The Website performance shall be continually monitored by the Supplier to ensure that performance does not fall below the standards agreed between the Purchaser and the Supplier. 5. Do you require branding and design works as part of these development works? Yes - this would be expected as part of the service, 6. • Has any user research/discovery/engagement required as part of this bid?• Has any staff, stakeholder, user engagement already been done and if so will the results be made available to the successful bidder? Yes - it would be expected that the successful bidder would work alongside our communications team to develop and or enhance the current website to meet their requirements. 7. Is it purely a site build (to a new design which the client will supply) or is a site redesign also required as part of the bid? SPS is open to the option of both a new site build or a redesign. SPS however where possible would like to keep the current website name 'www.sps.gov.uk'. 8. Do you have a documented requirement specification for your website and what elements you require as part of these works? The Supplier shall provide the following Services during the Contract Term:• Website Management;• Maintaining Technical Specification and enhancing current website features;• Hosting of the Website;• Providing Security Arrangements;• Ensuring Back-up Procedures and Business Continuity;• Support and Maintenance; and• Maintain Website performance and Availability.
