Tender description

AWARD NOTICE - USB Dongle Server and Rail Kit Under Regulation Reg 6(1)(b)(ii) of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016, a contracting authority may award a contract without competition based on the following justification: Competition is absent for technical reasons (only if it is not caused by artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement and no reasonable alternative or substitute exists). The USB Dongle Server and Rail Kit are part of an overhaul of the University data centre. Due to the risk of installation and criticality of the data centre we require Schneider APC engineers. Advanced Power Technology Ltd are a diamond partner of Schneider APC and the engineers to be used already have knowledge of the data centre and were involved in the original install as well as previous critical maintenance.
