Tender description
The purpose of this project is to provide a baseline of air quality in Trim, with the aim of gathering data to inform the provision of sustainable solutions to improve air quality and reduce emissions within Trim and inform the community of the air quality in select parts of Trim. This project also ties in with Trim Decarbonisation Zone – to reduce emissions within the town by 51% by 2030 in line with national targets; and Global Goals for Cities – the European URBACT project that Trim is involved in to localise the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to inform the aforementioned projects, the Trim Air Quality Project aims to facilitate five to ten external data set ingests to examine against the air quality data for enhanced data science and analysis. These data sets can include, but are not limited to, weather data and traffic data. The project also aims to test the reliability of less expensive air quality sensors by comparing them against indicative ambient air quality sensors. Objective of the Request to Tender: The objective of this request for tender is to identify a suitably qualified and experienced IOT consultant to purchase and carry out the necessary installation of air quality sensors, provide data and storage and to create a project platform. This platform must deliver the following key elements; have the ability to ingest data via application interfaces (APIs) from each monitor data source and from external data sources, for example, weather, geo-location, demographics etc., and with the aid of data scientists provide an analysis of trends in the newly formed dashboard.
