Tender description

A Field Emission sourced Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM) for the EM Labs Small Research Facility based in the School of Earth Sciences, University of Bristol. Lot 1: The successful bid shall provide a package that shall enable robust and cost-effective routine, high-volume throughput of samples with minimal maintenance thereby enabling near continuous operation. The instrumentation shall be used to observe and characterise both morphology and chemistry of earth science materials. User base includes staff, post-graduates and visitors to the School of Earth Sciences with a wide range of SEM experience from novice to expert user. Our assessment of the adaptability for the assets to our multi-user environment is the priority component of this procurement.
