YJA - Provision of Occupational Health Services

Tender description

The Youth Justice Agency is committed to health, safety and well-being of its staff and seeks to engage the services of Occupational Health Consultants from the private sector to strengthen the level of support and information provided to both staff and management. The specification sets out those services central to the Youth Justice Agency’s Occupational Health Service as well as those additional services that the Youth Justice Agency may require the Contractor to provide on a cost per item basis. The Contractor will work closely with the Youth Justice Agency’s management and Human Resources staff to provide an integrated approach to achieving healthy outcomes for staff and excellent attendance levels, in line with the Youth Justice Agency’s Managing Attendance Policy. The Contractor shall provide the Youth Justice Agency with high quality advice on all occupational health and related matters. The Contractor shall enable the Youth Justice Agency’s managers as far as possible to maintain and promote a healthy workforce and take preventative action to reduce ill-health and sickness absence. The Contractor shall be encouraged to contribute to the development of corporate and service specific initiatives on managing absence, safety in the workplace, and creating a healthy work environment. The Contractor will liaise closely with the Youth Justice Agency’s HR department and wider management in providing this service.
