WHSCT Installation of 3 Air Handling Units Altnagelvin Area Hospital

Tender description

The Project is for the supply, installation and commissioning of 3 No air handling units at the Nucleus Area in Altnagelvin hospital. The 3 air handling units will replace existing air handling units currently serving theatres 1, 2 and 3. This contract will include for the removal and disposal of the existing air handling units. The work must be programmed to ensure minimal disruption to the theatres’ heating and ventilation and as such will involve a significant amount of unsocial hours. The works on each of the 3 theatres to be staged to ensure only one theatre is offline at any given time. The contractor must liaise with Trust estates staff and medical staff to agree a programme for the works. This project will also include for the supply, installation and commissioning of a number of additional variable speed drives to be fitted to existing ventilation plant. These VSD’s will be linked with automated controls to reduce energy consumption. The contractor shall include for the removal and disposal of all existing redundant plant. The contract will include for all alterations to existing services to accommodate the complete project. The contractor will also ensure there is minimum disruption to the end user.
