WHSCT Energy Efficient Lighting at Waterside & Altnagelvin Hospitals

Tender description

The Project is for the provision of supply and installation of replacement energy efficient light fittings and replacement energy efficient lamps with minor re-wiring required at existing light fittings to bypass the existing ballast at the Nucleus at Altnagelvin hospital and at the Waterside hospital, Gransha. The Electrical contractor will be required to replace existing light fittings with new energy efficient fittings and in some specified locations replace T8 and T12 lamps a T5 lamp conversion unit complete with integral ballast. In the latter case they will be required to locally re-wire the light fittings to bypass the existing ballast and ensure there is a live at one end of the fitting and the neutral at the other end of the fitting. All diffusers are to be taken down and cleaned also. Additional lighting controls are to be installed as part of this scheme also.
