Tender description

The Project is for the provision of Replacement of old T8/T12 switch start lighting with and combination of LED lighting and T5 high frequency efficient lighting on a point for point basis and installation of extensive motion sensors and daylight control where appropriate This scheme will involve the replacement of our most inefficient lighting with very efficient light fittings resulting in a significant reduction in the electricity consumption and an improvement on current lighting levels. The Electrical contractor will be required to replace existing light fittings with new energy efficient fittings and in some specified locations replace T8 and T12 lamps a T5 lamp conversion unit complete with integral ballast. In the latter case they will be required to locally re-wire the light fittings to bypass the existing ballast and ensure there is a live at one end of the fitting and the neutral at the other end of the fitting. All diffusers are to be taken down and cleaned also. Additional lighting controls are to be installed as part of this scheme also.
