WHSCT -Enabling Works for New Radiotherapy Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital

Tender description

The contract comprises the relocation and possible upgrade of existing CHP and Calorifier plant, from their existing locations on the site and includes associated building works to make way for the future Radiotherapy project. The CHP plant, which must remain operational during the period November 2012 to end February 2013, will be moved to an existing dis-used ash and coal handling structure, which will be upgraded as part of this contract. The Calorifier plant will be located in a new purpose built plant room immediately adjacent to the existing South Wing of the existing hospital adjacent to the service yard at level -1. The contract also includes the diversion of existing services which cross the site of the proposed Radiotherapy project. Contract period will be approximately 42 calender weeks including two weeks for contractors holidays.
