WHSCT - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT REFURBISHMENT

Tender description

The Project is for the refurbishment of the Emergency Department (ED) at Altnagelvin Hospital. The refurbishment is primarily aimed at implementing the necessary physical modifications to provide for dedicated minor injury, major injury and paediatric patient pathways within the Department. In addition to the revised pathways, work is also required to renovate and improve both the main ED Waiting Room area and the sub-acute waiting rooms to improve the available facilities for patients and their families. The works will be carried out in a live, acute hospital environment. The Emergency Department is one of the busiest departments in the hospital and the works must be phased in such a way as to cause the minimum amount of disruption to the service. The ED will not be decanted for the works. The contract period will be 12 weeks (all phases).
