WHSCT - DESIGN TEAM APPOINTMENT - WOODLEA HOUSE EXTENSION

Tender description

The WHSCT are seeking to appoint a design team for the extension of Woodlea House, Gransha Park. The extension will provide additional clinical accommodation for the Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH)Team and Paediatric Psychology Service. In addition to the extension this proposal also encompasses the provision of a link corridor to enable disabled access to the adjoining playgroup Little Orchids which is located within the same building. A modular building is currently attached to Woodlea House and has been condemned. The extension, of traditional construction, will replace this modular building. Woodlea House is located with Gransha Park, the building will be occupied & must remain fully functional throughout the works. The works must be designed and phased in such a way as to cause the minimum amount of disruption to the service & the overall hospital site. The works are to be completed and handed over before the end of the current financial year, 31st March 2016. The WHSCT confirm that the following consultants will be required to form part of the design team; Lead Consultant, Architect, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Civil & Structural Engineer, Quantity Surveyor and CDM coordinator. Schedules of duties for these consultants will be included in the ITT. It is anticipated that the lead consultant (contract administrator) will be the architect. The contract period (for consultant services) is 10 months, June 2015 – March 2016, not including the defects liability period
