WHSCT - DESIGN TEAM APPOINTMENT FOR NURSES HOME REWIRE

Tender description

The WHSCT are seeking to appoint a design team for the proposed rewiring of the Nurses Home accommodation block at Altnagelvin Hospital. The work will involve the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a new electrical installation in the accommodation section of the Nursing accommodation block. Works will be undertaken at the Altnagelvin Hospital site, Glenshane Road Londonderry. The project aims to replace an existing 60 year old electrical installation which has been partially rewired with a new installation; this will involve the installation of a new distribution system with localised distribution boards, and a rewire to the accommodation rooms and ancillary areas. Throughout the duration of works, the facility will remain occupied and a decant programme will be developed to allow the rewire to occur, with minimum disruption to the facility. Access to the facility will remain open to occupants of adjacent areas and all H&S precautions will take cognisance of this, electrical supplies to occupied areas will be maintained through the duration of the works Building Minor Building works will be required to make good any damage to the building during the electrical installation works. All work must be carried out in line with current legislative standards and guidance.
