Tender description

The Sports Centre for the Coleraine campus will replace the current dated facilities in our South Buildings block. The new Centre will provide - 8 court sports hall; fitness suite; studio; internal & external changing; office and meeting accommodation; athletes lounge and internal and external storage. The University is committed to the delivery of sustainable buildings in accordance with international, national and local sustainable development policies. The University seeks to follow best practice in sustainable development alongside the highest standards of design, environmental sustainability and construction and as a result the building must achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating. The site for the new facility is located adjacent to the existing Sports pitches on the Coleraine campus. The building will have a physical adjacency to the current pitches and a strong visual presence on the campus.
