Transport Model Development

Tender description

TfWM is seeking to appoint suppliers across a number of specialist service areas to support the development of an innovative new transport model for the West Midlands. Over the past five years modelling and simulation capabilities and the availability of data has changed dramatically for the better. We want to harness this progress to develop the next generation of models with improved usability and functionality, able to answer a range of questions related to our future mobility challenges. At this stage, we created a draft specification which addresses both the technical aspirations for the model and procurement strategies which we invite comments upon from potential suppliers in order to help us refine the specification ahead of an Invitation to Tender. We invite comments for 30 days from the date of publication. The draft specification and a link to the online feedback form is contained in the Additional Information (II.2.14) section of this PIN through which suppliers can provide comments both publically and privately to TfWM for consideration. A further period of refinement of the specification will then follow with a final publication of an ITT anticipated in January 2020. Please note that this procurement is separate to the continuation of the PRISM 5 model (Project reference 274, Invitation to Tender number 702 on the Bravo portal).
