Transport and Internal Courier Services

Tender description

A fully managed transport and courier service on behalf of NHS Dudley. This includes delivery of internal mail to various NHS properties, including offices, GP practices, hospitals, clinics and health centres across the Dudley Borough, stock and non stock deliveries (including parcels, furniture etc) to point of delivery. Loading and unloading of deliveries, emptying and return of roll cages to the Central Receipts and Distribution Centre. Delivery of bodily fluids eg. samples. CRB checks for all staff are a requirement. TUPE may apply. The initial term will be for 36 months, with an option to extend for up to a further 24 months in increments to be decided by NHS Dudley. It is expected that invoicing for the serivce will be in equal monthly amounts. During the course of the contract the Trusts requirements may be subject to change and contractors must have a flexible, partnership working approach. Buildings may open or close throughout the lifetime of the contract, and therefore there is no guarantee of any volume of business. No subcontracting will be allowed as part of this contract.
