Tender description

The Northern Ireland Life and Times Survey 2016 and 2017:Ulster University together with Queen’s University wish to appoint a research contractor to conduct the next two rounds of the annual Northern Ireland Life and Times Survey in 2016 and 2017. The aim of the Life and Times Survey is to provide a time-series and a public record of how our attitudes and behaviour develop on a wide range of social policy issues. The survey is designed to meet two distinctive but complementary needs. The first is as a local resource for use by the general public; the second is for data to inform a more theoretical academic debate within the field of social policy research. The survey currently has a large array of users both within the academic sector and more widely. This includes academic experts within the fields of psychology, politics, sociology and social policy; school children doing projects; policy-makers; grass-roots community groups; lobbyists; students; journalists and others needing background data for their work. The survey website can be found at www.ark.ac.uk/nilt
