Tender description

The Drinking Water Inspectorate works to protect public health by assessing whether water companies in both England and Wales are complying with the duty to supply wholesome drinking water as defined in the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations which implement the EU Drinking Water Directive (DWD) and national standards. The aim of this project is to increase our understanding of the impact of ultraviolet (UV) disinfection on the chemical composition of water, with specific reference to the potential formation or removal disinfection by-products (DBPs).
