Tender description
The scope of the Contract shall require the Contractor to carry out a variety of Night-time and day inspections of illuminated street furniture. Such Works may include but not be limited to the following, which are provided by way of examples: (a)Visual night-time inspection of various types of illuminated street furniture (b)Visual day-time inspection of various types of illuminated street furniture (c)Validation and production of street lighting inspection reports to (a) and (b) (d)Court Attendance. The Contractor shall be required to submit a monthly statement for certification by the Engineer. The Contractor(s) shall be required to carry out the work at various locations within Northern, Eastern, Western & Southern Divisions as directed by the Engineer. Each Contractor shall be provided with a routing schedule defining the scouting routes. The works associated with each Contract shall be undertaken within each of the Contract areas. Briefly, they can be described as follows FREQUENCY SUMMER April - September (incl) WINTER October - March (incl) All public road lighting units including subways, light sign units, permanent illuminated bollards etc. 4 weekly with exception of 3 week cycle in September (prior to onset of 2 week cycle) 2 weekly with exception of three week cycle in December For each of the Contract Areas, it is likely that the contractor will be required to work at more than one location at any one time to meet the requirements of Roads Service programme of works for each of the Contract Areas. The Contractor will be expected to have sufficiently skilled and available resources necessary to meet the requirements of the Overseeing Organisation’s programme of Works and will require to, include in his rates and prices for the inevitable peaks and troughs that will be inherent in any such programme. Such peaks and troughs may result from a variety of circumstances, not all within the control of the Overseeing Organisation
