Tender for the Design, Provision and Installation of Splash Play Equipment Specification: Design and installation of a children’s splash play area within the new Leisure Facility at Dairy Hall, Newtownards. Outline Design at Tender stage must meet the following criteria: Requirement The Splash Zone area must include the following: Current plans and modelling for the area have been included as part of the specification detailing total size of splash zone area (floor surface area including pool basin), positions of any windows if applicable and ceiling height. The Council are asking for suggested themes from Tenderers and are not stipulating any particular theme at this time. Colour schemes must also be provided as part of the response from Tenderers. The size of the pool area (pool basin) must be a minimum of 64 m2. The pool basin floor area must have a natural fall from front to back, shallow at the front and deeper at the opposite end. The front of the pool (shallow) is adjacent to the gala pool. The maximum water depth is 400 mm rising to 0 mm at the front. The pool surround (pool banks) must have a natural fall away from the pool basin to waste drains on the outer edge of the pool surround area. The area will accommodate 0 to 7 year olds. The area must be bright, vibrant and encompass a space which is fun, safe and where children wish to return time and again.
