Tender description

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) (the Authority), as Lead Partner representing the Partnership (Dundalk Institute of Technology, Dublin City University and Queen’s University, Belfast) has prepared this tender document for use in tender preparation by suitably competent persons/consortia who wish to join a framework agreement for the provision of Technology Innovation Assessment Services for its VITAL Project. This multi-operator framework will have a duration of up to two years commencing in Quarter IV of 2013. The project therefore aims, through this unique and innovative approach, to promote regional economic growth and development by building the indigenous SME base within the knowledge based sectors in Northern Ireland and the six southern border counties of Ireland and thus creating and safeguarding sustainable jobs. For the purposes of VITAL, a new venture is defined as a new knowledge based business start-ups, new business ideas implemented within existing businesses or new license or technology transfer opportunities exploited. 15 technology streams have been identified as follows: 1. Agri-Food Chain 2. E-Creatives 3. Cleantech 4. Energy 5. Waste Management & Recycling 6. Mechanical Engineering 7. Electronic Engineering 8. Electrical Engineering 9. Chemical Engineering 10. Material Engineering 11. Financial Sector 12. Customer Services 13. Telecoms 14. ICT/ Software 15. Cloud & Big Data All tender documents are available to download from www.etenders.gov.ie only.
