Temporary Staff 2012-2015

Tender description

The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (NIA) requires a Service Provider to provide experienced and suitably qualified staff to fill a range of temporary posts to cover fluctuations in staffing requirements to suit its business needs. The main reason for NIA requiring temporary staff will be to provide cover for absences connected with known events (such as maternity leave) and less predictable events such as long term sick absences and resignations. All such cover would be subject to budgetary parameters. Through the services of a suitable Service Provider, the NIA is seeking a solution that will achieve the following objectives: • Flexibility around staff numbers and the ability to cover roles without filling vacancies on a permanent basis, • Remove the risk to the NIA of being legally classed as the employer of the temporary member, • Reduced administrative burden on NIA staff, and • Value for Money.
