Requirement title: Supply of Support Vehicles This is a requirement for Translink and returns for this section are due by: 15:00 UK Local Time 25th October 2010 Translink intend to appoint one competent Economic Operator to manufacture and supply the following support vehicles Light Commercial Vehicles x 6 Car Derived Vehicles x 8 Large LCV x 1 The vehicle specifications required are as follows 1 x Large LCV to be converted to a crew bus and needs to be of the following dimensions to facilitate the conversion. Min overall length 5.8m Min overall width (excluding mirrors) 1.9m This vehicle must be suitable for a conversion to a crew bus to accommodate a Permanent Way squad of up to a maximum of 10 persons as well as carrying tools and equipment. 6 x LWB medium size LCV‘s to accommodate driver and 2 passengers The Signalling and Engineering Departments require vehicles to allow them to transport personnel, materials and equipment to locations around the network. These squads contain a maximum of three people. 8 x Medium CDV’s to accommodate driver and 1 passenger A selection of various types of car derived vehicles is required for our Permanent Way, Rail engineering and Bus operation staff to fulfil their duties. These vehicles will carry a maximum of two people along with tools and materials.
