Tender description
NI Railways intend to appoint a Contractor/s to supply railway ballast and stone across the NI Railways network. The supply is for the Appendix A Ballast Stone as per NIR Standard I/TRK/STD/8100 / source standard Network Rail Standard NR/L2/TRK/8100 (Appendix B Stoneblower Aggregate not required) The NI Railways Network covers approximately 300 route miles on the following lines: • Belfast to Derry • Belfast to Border • Belfast to Bangor • Belfast to Larne • Coleraine to Portrush • Antrim to Lisburn The Contract will be a 4 year contract with the option to extend by 2 extensions of (2) year each In some circumstances NIR will tender for supply of ballast separately and this supply contract will not be used.
