Supply & Delivery of Trees, Shrubs, Roses and Bulbs

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (the Housing Executive) is a non-departmental public body established by the Housing Executive Act 1971, and is Northern Ireland’s single comprehensive regional housing authority. Further details are available on our website www.nihe.gov.uk The Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) provides a building, grounds maintenance and a specialist works service to the Housing Executive. The grounds maintenance service includes, grass cutting, litter lifting, tree and shrub planting and tree surgery. The DLO operates from two main depots in Belfast, and Coleraine with Grounds sub depots in Rathcoole, Antrim, Ballymoney, Pennyburn and Limavady. The Housing Executive wishes to appoint supplier/s to supply and deliver live plants and bulbs for use in grounds rehabilitation schemes and invites tenders for The Contract/s for a period of 12 months commencing January 2011. Prices shall remain fixed within the contract period. The Tender is divided into four lots, Trees (Lot1), Bulbs (Lot2), Roses (Lot3) and Shrubs (Lot4). Tenderers may Tender for any or all of the lots. To participate in the evaluation Tenderers must price for all items in a particular lot. Each lot will be evaluated based on the criteria shown in the Selection & Evaluation Criteria section of the tender documents. Purchase Orders will be placed throughout the contract period for such quantities as may be required for delivery to the locations detailed. No guarantees can be provided regarding the order quantity and/or frequency of Purchase Orders. Goods are to be delivered within 15 working days from receipt of purchase order. Suppliers must provide a mechanical means to offload goods at the specified delivery points e.g forklift or hydraulic grab. A 12 month warranty on all plants and bulbs from date of delivery is required.
