Supply and Installation of Wind Turbine(s)

Tender description

Translink requires a competent contractor to provide Feasibility Study services for potential Wind Turbine Installations in the Translink property portfolio. With increased public awareness of Climate Change; and the recent introduction of new legislation (The Carbon Reduction Commitment), Translink has the opportunity to benefit financially and to further reinforce its green credentials with the use of renewable generation. Submissions are sought to provide Technical Expertise with the running of a suitable feasibility study to identify three (3) suitable locations that have the potential for a 80kw wind turbine installation. The Feasibility Study will include (but not be limited to) potential benefits of each locations and any associated risks or issues to be considered such as planning issues. The Feasibility Study will identify the location with the most potential for a successful planning application. This may require a wind survey and an environmental impact assessment prior to any planning application being made by Translink and the feasibility study should advise accordingly. This phase is anticipated to last up to 26 months dependent on the requirement of the wind speed survey.
