Supply and Installation of Trackside Greasing Equipment to Central Belfast

Tender description

The contract is for the design, supply, delivery and installation of trackside greasing equipment sufficient to ensure the curved tracks throughout Central Belfast are adequately lubricated. The following specific components are required:- Vandal proof trackside cabinets. Adjustable settings on grease supply. Solar powered units where possible. All cabinets to be secured clear of tracks by at least 3m. Applicator blades need to be capable of being removed quickly to facilitate rail replacement. Installed equipment shall not adversely affect routine maintenance works such as tamping Delivery is to Northern Ireland Railways’ Permanent Way Stores, Adelaide, Falcon Road, off Boucher Road, Belfast, N. Ireland. It is NIR’s intention to retain the successful economic operator to supply any requirements for the above track components until 31st December 2014 with a further 12 month extension option.
