TITLE : Structural Repairs to 1 Marlborough Road, Hillingdon In accordance with the technical documents attached, the cracks to the property should be raked out to a depth of 1520mm, debris removed and the surface dampened. Externally the cracks should be repointed using 1:1:6 cement:lime:sand mortar. Internally the cracks should be raked out to the same depth, cleaned and dampened and filled with a pliable plaster. In terms of rebuilding the corner of brickwork, the contractor should salvage as much of the existing bricks to reuse and carefully match existing bricks with new bricks. Mortar to be as above. Pointing to match existing pointing type. Before the corner is started acrow props should be placed internally using base plates and head plates to take the ceiling load adjacent to the wall whilst the corner is rebuilt. The brickwork immediately above the corner should be supported by timber shores. If the dpc is damaged then a new dpc should be provided in that area and lapped over the existing dpc at either end. Please see the attached marked drawing showing the cracks to gable repointed and the area to be rebuilt.
