Tender description

The safe handling and carriage of patients is a primary requirement of the Ambulance Service. In addition providing a safe working environment for employees is paramount and this framework looks to address both of these issues. High quality, reliable, and robust equipment is desirable due to the variety of situations that the products will be used in and devices that help minimise infection control issues are of particular interest to the Ambulance Service. Increasingly products with a wider operating capacity are attractive to the Service due to the need to carry larger/heavier patients. The Framework will cover a range of lifting/handling aids, including; Trolley Stretchers, Carry Chairs, Spinal Boards, Emergency Stretchers, Stair climbers, and associated accessories such as harnesses, and head blocks.
