Storage of Intervention Butter & Skimmed Milk Powder

Tender description

The Rural Payments Agency has issued a call for competition via the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) to invite tenders for a place on a new Intervention Storage Framework for the storage of butter and skimmed milk powder. The framework will be offered against the background of increasing prospects of intervention storage being required and the need for a more robust and longer term contract solution that will enable decisions about storage to be made quickly and fairly whilst delivering value. It is anticipated that the framework will commence at the beginning of August this year and run for 4 years. The framework will consist of 4 lots: 1. Butter – England, Scotland & Wales 2. SMP - England, Scotland & Wales 3. Butter – Northern Ireland 4. SMP – Northern Ireland A number of suppliers will be appointed to each lot on the framework. Call off contracts will be awarded as intervention storage requirements arise, on the basis of the tendered prices.
