DEVELOPMENT OF A POLICE OPERATIONS DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM (PODSS) TO INFORM EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE DEPLOYMENT OF POLICE RESOURCES IN NORTHERN IRELAND The Police Service for Northern Ireland (PSNI), supported by the Strategic Investment Board (SIB), requires a service provider to undertake statistical research leading to the development and implementation of a Police Operations Decision Support System (PODSS) meeting the needs of the PSNI. The provision of a Police Operations Decision Support System will help the PSNI to improve deployment of operational resources with the aim of increasing efficiency and effectiveness in line with the aims and objectives set out in the organisation’s corporate strategy.
