Select List - Supply and Assembly of Security Fencing

Tender description

NI Railways intend to appoint a contractor for the supply and assembly of security fencing to the lineside boundary. This will cover security fencing along NI Railways boundary or as directed by NI Railways. NI Railways defines Security fencing as fencing other then stockproof and is generally greater than 1.8m in height. This may take the form of rigid mesh fencing, palisade style fencing (component and welded forms), Flexible mesh fencing and expanded metal fencing, access gates. The NI Railways network covers approximately 300 route miles. This is broken into the following railway lines: • Border – Belfast • Belfast – Bangor • Belfast – Derry • Belfast – Larne • Coleraine – Portrush • Lisburn – Antrim The above schedule of requirements is only an indication of the type of requirements that may arise and is not a commitment of Translink’s demand. The response times to provide these services will be detailed for the short listed suppliers at the next stage of this process. The result of the exercise will be to provide a short list of Suppliers who will be taken forward to the next stage of this process which will eventually result in a select list of suppliers to provide the above types of services. The initial contract will be for a period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further year. Response Return Date and Time PQQ responses must be submitted before: 15:00 hours on Tuesday 13th April 2010. Translink is utilising an electronic tendering system to manage this procurement and communicate with Tenderers. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued and it is intended that all communications with Translink including the submission of PQQ and Tender responses will be conducted via www.e-sourcingni.bravosolution.co.uk. Unless stated otherwise in these Instructions or in writing from Translink, all communications including queries from Applicants and any PQQ amendments from Translink during the period
