Tender description

This project is the PQQ for the provision of Satellite Capacity (Lot 1) and DTT Capacity (Lot 2) to the BBC (for itself and on behalf of its subsidiaries). The requirement is summarised below. (a) In order to broadcast additional coverage of major sporting and cultural events (such as the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Wimbledon, Glastonbury, the Proms), the BBC wishes to procure additional Satellite Capacity (Lot 1) and additional DTT Capacity (Lot 2). (b) Lot 1 and Lot 2 will both be put in place as framework agreements and will be used on an event by event basis and the amount of capacity required will vary by event. Please note that the BBC at its sole discretion may not procure the required Satellite Capacity and/or DTT Capacity under these framework agreements if appropriate not to do so. These framework agreements will be non-exclusive.
