S717(2018) - Laundry Service of Personal Protective Equipment Garments

Tender description

Northern Ireland Electricity Limited (NIE Networks) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide a comprehensive laundry service for its specialised Personal Protective Equipment garments. This service must include timely collection and return of garments, the high quality laundering of the garments, ensuring they continue to offer the correct level of protection for the wearer while promoting a professional and strong corporate identity of NIE Networks. NIE Networks wishes to establish a framework agreement (following award of this tender competition) for the services of a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide this service across Northern Ireland. The contract will be for a period of 1 year, with the option to extend (entirely at the sole discretion of NIE Networks) for a further period of up to 1 year and an additional period of up to a further 3 years. (5 years in total). Candidates will note that the ITT documents have been published with the PQQ documents. The Utility Contracts Regulations (2016) insist that all tender documents (PQQ & ITT) are released together. All Candidates that pass the PQQ stage will be invited to compete at the ITT stage. Following the complete process (Negotiated procedure with prior call for Competition), a maximum of one tenderer will be placed on the Framework Agreement.
